Christine Demont is the lead analyst and epidemiologist in the vital statistics mortality surveillance unit for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Ms. Demont is responsible for the data analysis, interpretation, and dissemination for violent deaths (suicide, homicide, and unintentional firearm deaths) and drug overdose deaths. She designs and conducts epidemiological analyses to support the surveillance, epidemiology, and evaluation of The Colorado Violent Death Reporting System (CoVDRS) and the State Unintentional Drug Overdose Reporting System (SUDORS). She also develops and maintains online data visualizations, writes reports, prepares presentations, responds to data requests, and supports the technical operations of the CoVDRS and SUDORS.Ms. Demont has her Master of Public Health, with a concentration in epidemiology, from the University of Colorado.
