About me
Aurora Ramirez serves as a Community Alignment Coordinator with Boulder County Public Health for the Family Connects service and the Children with Special Needs program. She has worked for Boulder County Public Health for nearly ten years, supporting families through systems navigation, developmental referral coordination, community engagement, and community partnership efforts. In her combined role, she has supported Children with Special Needs services for close to ten years and Family Connects for nearly four years.
Her work focuses on strengthening partnerships between public health, healthcare, early childhood, behavioral health, and community-based organizations to identify barriers families face across systems and support more family-centered approaches to service delivery. For the past three years, she has co-facilitated the local Family Voice Ambassador meetings and incorporated family feedback into outreach strategies, program planning, systems-improvement discussions, and policy-related initiatives. Her work is grounded in building trusted relationships with families and helping ensure community perspectives are reflected in the design and delivery of services and supports.
Aurora has participated in the RIHEL Advanced Leadership Training Program and completed Cultural Brokers training offered by Boulder County, which further strengthened her approach to community engagement, equity-centered leadership, and culturally responsive practices. She currently serves on the Colorado Assuring Better Child Health & Development (ABCD) Board and the TLC Learning Center Board, an inclusive early childhood education and pediatric therapy center in Longmont.
