About me
Huanchun Huang, PhD, is an MPH student in the Environment, Climate & Health program at the Colorado School of Public Health (CU Anschutz). He holds a doctoral degree in Urban Planning from Tianjin University and has over a decade of research experience in urban heat islands, GIS/remote sensing, and climate-health outcomes. Before joining ColoradoSPH, he served as a visiting postdoctoral scholar at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he studied heat exposure and urban walking behavior using mobile phone trajectory data and machine learning methods. His work has been published in more than 60 peer-reviewed journals, including Urban Forestry & Urban Greening and Sustainable Cities and Society. His current research focuses on heat exposure inequality, spatial epidemiology, and climate-adaptive urban planning.
