About me
Kate Follett’s commitments to babies and to equity took root early, embodied by the quiet preschooler who refused to abandon her beloved Black baby doll despite adult judgment and ridicule. That same instinct to challenge bias and uplift babies’ voices now fuels her leadership in a universal fourth‑trimester nurse home visiting program. After beginning her nursing career in the NICU, Kate found her deepest purpose working directly with families, where her love of babies and belief in relational healing come fully alive. With certifications in lactation counseling, perinatal mental health, infant mental health, HOPE facilitation, addictions nursing, and tobacco treatment - and formal degrees in both Nursing and Psychology - she brings both curiosity and heart to every home she enters. Across all her work, Kate is guided by one core conviction: every family deserves to feel seen, valued and supported as they build the future they envision.
