About me
Kylie Turner is a senior in the Integrative Healthcare bachelor's program at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Her previous research included work in a reproductive neuroendocrinology lab, where she conducted a project assessing environmental factors that contribute to hypogonadotropic hypogonadism in animal models. Long-term, her goal is to work in women’s health, with a focus on research, education, and clinical care. She believes that our current approach to women’s health can be improved to move beyond outdated beliefs and stigmatizations that have a negative impact on women and their health outcomes. This has inspired her to put her efforts towards improving the system and motivates her to engage at multiple levels to help drive these changes. She is particularly interested in holistic women’s health and wants to contribute to integrating multi-dimensional approaches and education into healthcare protocols and public health initiatives.
