About me
Nicole Zwick is a public health researcher and Senior Evaluator with the Community Epidemiology and Program Evaluation Group (CEPEG) at the University of Colorado Cancer Center. She supports community-based programs that enhance chronic disease and tobacco prevention efforts among vulnerable populations across Colorado. She holds an MS in Bioanalytical Chemistry and an MPH in Global Health Epidemiology and is currently pursuing her doctorate in the Community Behavioral Health Program at CU Anschutz. Her research combines forensic nursing, trauma-informed practice, and spatial epidemiology to explore how geography, access, and healthcare systems affect outcomes for survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV). She collaborates with the UCHealth Forensic Nurse Examiner (FNE) team to study burnout, provider wellness, and workforce sustainability, promoting trauma-responsive forensic nursing care. Her previous projects include nutrigenetic research in Type 1 Diabetes, establishing a cervical cancer screening program in Kenya, and NIH-funded studies on neonatal neurological development. In her leisure time, Nicole enjoys climbing, mountain biking, traveling, and relaxing with her family and friends.
