About me
Paulina Erices-Ocampo is a Ph.D. candidate in Health and Behavioral Science at the University of Colorado Denver, holding a B.A. in Organizational Psychology from Penn State and an M.A. in Organizational Development from the University of Denver. An International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Art of Hosting Practitioner, she brings over 20 years of experience working with families with young children at the intersection of public health, mental health, nutrition security, and community development.
Paulina is co-founder and co-owner of Cuenta Conmigo Coop, a community cooperative focused on maternal and child health, and consults for nonprofits and agencies seeking to strengthen community capacity to lead policy on health and education. Her work centers on fostering community-responsive systems change and building community-driven programs that strengthen families and communities.
Her research integrates social network analysis and relational interviews to explain the social mechanisms that facilitate and constrain health in immigrant and Native American communities. Her dissertation, Social Capital and Health: A Social Network Analysis of Immigrant and Native American Networks in a Diverse Urban Community in Colorado, examines these dynamics in depth.
