About me
Sami Bahadur completed a DVM and a Master’s in Pathology in Pakistan and is currently pursuing a PhD in Clinical Sciences with a focus on Epidemiology at Colorado State University through the Fulbright Program. He has a strong background in veterinary medicine, public health, and research, with experience in laboratory techniques, data management and analysis, and animal health policy. Previously, he worked with the Chief Veterinary Officer of Pakistan on national antimicrobial resistance (AMR) surveillance under the Fleming Fund Country Grant, where he contributed to the development of policy documents in the animal health sector. His current project involves comparative genomic analysis of Salmonella Typhimurium isolates from cattle and humans to identify and characterize AMR determinants.
