Sara Cooper is the Director of the Community Epidemiology and Program Evaluation Group (CEPEG) and a Senior Clinical Instructor in the Department of Community and Behavioral Health in the Colorado School of Public Health. With over 25 years of experience in Survey Research, and both quantitative analysis and mixed methods, Dr. Cooper brings a comprehensive array of skills and experience in survey design and evaluation best practices, as well as innovative, theory-based strategies for programs, policies, and community initiatives. Since joining CEPEG in 2012, she has overseen CU Health Surveys, CEPEG’s data division, and established CHEC on Health, the Colorado Health Exposures Cohort, a standing research panel resource at the CU Anschutz Campus. Dr. Cooper’s work in translational science and public health practice include evaluations of pilot and proof-of-concept initiatives in partnership with community-based health organizations; program development and implementation in hospital, clinic and non-traditional settings; media assessment for innovative digital health interventions and education campaigns; seminal policy impact evaluation.
